Kirk Blair, a Deloitte Advisory
partner with Deloitte Financial
Advisory Services LLP, has been
named Deloitte Advisory Corporate
Restructuring Group leader,
succeeding William Snyder, who
has left the firm to pursue other
ventures. In addition, Michael
Epstein, a Deloitte Advisory principal
with Deloitte Transactions and
Business Analytics LLP, has been
named Deloitte’s global managing
director for restructuring services,
succeeding Andrew Grimstone,
Deloitte U.K. partner who will remain
as head of Deloitte’s special situations
advisory teams globally. Based in
New York, Blair has more than 25
years of experience working on
financial restructuring, bankruptcy
reorganization, and bankruptcy
accounting and compliance matters.
Epstein has 27 years of experience in
financial restructuring, turnaround
management, asset management,
bankruptcy reorganization,
and performance improvement
matters, and is based in Boston.
Dawn M. Cica has joined Black &
LoBello in Las Vegas. She brings
more than 25 years of experience to
the law firm, working on all facets of
transactional and real estate matters
from the cradle to the grave. Her
bankruptcy practice includes
representing creditors,
committees, affiliated
parties, and debtors,
and her transactional
experience extends to the
complex details surrounding the
gaming, hospitality, and mining
fields. She is well-versed in public
and private financings, secured
lending, note purchases, asset
sales and acquisitions, leasing,
and joint ventures. Before joining
Black & LoBello, Cica was a partner
at Fox Rothschild LLP, a national
firm based in Philadelphia.
Conway MacKenzie has launched
a Valuation & Opinion Services
practice led by Senior Managing
Director Samuel W. Clark IV. Joining
him in the new group are Bradley
Tillett and Daniel W. Johnson,
both directors with the firm. The
group provides expert advice and
opinions to companies and their
boards, investors, and other capital
market constituents regarding the
valuation of businesses, securities,
and assets for transactions and
situations across industry sectors.
Daniel deBrauwere has joined PNC
Bank as a senior vice president with
the senior secured financing team
in the Western region and market
manager for Southern California.
Based in Pasadena, California,
he leads the team responsible for
business development in Southern
California and the desert Southwest,
originating asset-based and cash
flow loans. deBrauwere has more
than 20 years of experience
in banking and finance, most
recently as national division head
of Capital One Business Credit. He
holds an MBA from the University
of Southern California and a
bachelor’s degree from the University
of California, Santa Barbara.
Stephen V. Falanga is among the
founding partners of Walsh Pizzi
O’Reilly Falanga LLP, a law firm
based in Newark, New Jersey, with
additional offices located in New
York City and Philadelphia. Falanga
focuses his practice in financial
services and risk management,
